Show Off Your House With Decorations
The best part of holidays in the United States is the opportunity to cover your home in decorations. Use seasonal decor like Jack-o’-lantern, fun lights, and spiderwebs this Halloween season to make your home stand out on the block. Maybe even create a themed “For Sale” sign that says “For Sale…If You Dare” or “Haunted House for Sale.”
One of the most significant decorative tips this season is to err on the side of tasteful and not tacky. Keep the Halloween decorations clean and, most importantly, kid-friendly!
Haunted House Or Not So Ghosty? Either Way, Have Fun!

Hosting a party is a fun way to show off your home to neighbors and friends. Have people over for appetizers and cocktails, and have invitees bring guests who may be interested in purchasing a home. Maybe even organize something with your Realtor for a Halloween-themed open house! Use decorations to complement the inside of your home, like some colorful garland, Halloween and fall table settings and dishes, and scented candles. A Halloween open house can be a great way to show off your home and have a great time.
Get Ready For Trick-Or-Treaters
What other time of year do people walk up to your front door? While the parents of trick-or-treaters may not be house hunting, it’s still an excellent opportunity to show off your home and the fact that it’s for sale. You never know if someone is looking for a home or if they know someone who is. Decorations, a clean porch and yard, and a friendly attitude can make all the difference.
